Crowne Plaza Jacksonville Riverfront's Director of Sales & Marketing
Named 2007 Best of the Best Among All Crowne Plaza Hotels
(Jacksonville, FL November 6, 2007) - Janice Dailey, Director of Sales and Marketing for the Crowne Plaza Jacksonville Riverfront has received InterContinental Hotels Group's highest sales and marketing honor, the IHG 2007 Best of the Best - Crowne Plaza Director of Sales of the Year Award.
Nominees from all IHG North American Crowne Plaza hotels were evaluated based on performance that goes above and beyond normal job responsibilities by providing outstanding and unique service to the property, to the guests and to the community.
Under Dailey's leadership the Crowne Plaza Jacksonville sales team has already exceeded sales goals for 2007 (ending December), and was honored earlier this year with four Eagle Awards from the Crowne Plaza National Sales Summit. These included the overall team award for New Hotel Opening Performance; the hotel converted from the Hilton brand to Crowne Plaza in March 2006.
Dailey serves on the Crowne Plaza National Sales Advisory Committee, as well as locally on the Gator Bowl Association Committee and the Convention & Visitors Bureau sales sub-committee. She is a member of the Hotel Sales & Marketing Association International, SKAL, an international association for travel and tourism professionals, and the Religious Conference Managers' Association.
Mike Keeler, General Manager of the Crowne Plaza Jacksonville Riverfront said, "We are so proud of Janice for this outstanding and well-deserved honor. She contributes so much to all aspects of our operation and to the community. We are fortunate to have someone with Janice's professionalism, leadership, sales acumen and customer focus leading our sales and marketing team. This award truly shines a national spotlight on our hotel and our city."
Dailey was honored during a special ceremony held during the 2007 IHG Americas Investors & Leadership Conference in Dallas, Texas, October 22-24, 2007. An award trophy and medallion were presented in recognition of her exemplary service. More than 4,000 franchise owners, operators and company officials attended the 2007 IHG Americas Investors & Leadership Conference. "It is with great pleasure that I recognize Janice Dailey for providing one of the best guest experiences in our industry," said Steve Porter, president, the Americas, IHG.
