The municipal stadium sits on 10 acres of land, including portions of the original Gator Bowl Stadium; with a capacity of 76,877 fans.
EverBank Field is used primarily as a professional football facility but does host several other events throughout the year including concerts, festivals, and conventions. It also hosts a number of annual college football games, including "The World's Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party" each year at the Florida-Georgia Game between The University of Florida and The University of Georgia, and a post-season bowl game, the Gator Bowl, which pits teams from either the Big East or Big 12 conferences against an Atlantic Coast Conference opponent. The stadium is also a former site of the Atlantic Coast Conference football championship game and played host to Super Bowl XXXIX in 2005 .
